Interviews with Dennis Vance, Gathie Falk, Maxine Gadd, and Werner Aellen

Matrix, an installation/performance presented at the Vancouver Art Gallery as part of the Intermedia exhibition Intermedia Nights (May 21- 24,1968). The installation aspect of the piece involved 100, 40” high, 30” diameter, flexible corrugated cardboard tubes and a podium. For the presentation the gallery lights were turned down the audience members occupied the tubes as if isolated in a cocoon. For the performance, James Barber presented a program of both live and recorded readings and music along with the introduction of smells and other common sensory experiences.
