Werner Aellen of Intermedia and Herb Gilbert of the University of British Columbia's Fine arts department are staging lunatic happenings this weekend in commemoration and celebration of the apollo 11 moon landing.

It starts Saturn Day at 10:39 a.m. — moonrise; continues Sun Day at 3:46p.m. — high noon; and concludes on Moon Day at 11:31 p.m. or moonset.

The celebration starts on the beach side of the Planetarum, and then there's a moon walk to Sunset and Second Beach. The idea is to "make art that turns people onto other people," and the only requisite for attendance is participation. More information at 736-4797 or 732-6265.
