In 1977, through an Order-in-Council the British Columbia government approved the removal of the individual concrete headstones from the Cemetery at Woodlands effectively transforming the site into a mass grave for the 3065 persons buried there.
Cemetery To Mass Grave is a modern day ghost story. Through a series of newspaper clippings and a Government document it chronicles how a misguided humanitarian initiative to improve the life for residents of a newly constructed long term geriatric care facility inadvertently resulted in a spiritual crisis for a number of unwitting residents in a neighboring community.
